Software Implementation Consultant

Position Overview:

  • To provide in-depth product, industry and best practices business consultancy on SS&C’s Vision FI reporting product.
  • Be involved in all phases of implementation projects as well as a number of smaller client related projects and pre-sales opportunities.
  • Provide the necessary skills to advise and consult within the Investment Management market place on best practice methodologies on how to utilize our technology solution.
  • Be a reliable point of contact for all Client enquiries, issues and requests throughout a project or implementation. Perform and/or lead activities related including requirements analysis, business process analysis, product configuration, detailed project documentation, Client communication, issue resolution, testing and Client training/education and solutions deployment.
  • Articulate product capabilities and guide the Client in best practices for use of Vision FI product.
  • Identify product customization, enhancements, process changes and/or workarounds to meet Client requirements
  • Identify, research and resolve and/or engage others in the research and resolution of complex investment management related business issues.
  • Interact effectively with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally. Manage Client expectations, cultivate the Client relationship and ensure the timely completion of project milestones.
  • Command respect for excellence, not only in areas of specific knowledge but also in all aspects of proposing, conducting and leading consultancy assignments.

 

Skills & Qualifications:
Required

  • Prior experience with software implementation projects
  • Financial industry experience, ideally with experience within investment management industry
  • Intermediate SQL skills
  • Prior expertise with reporting software: Crystal, ActiveReports, SSRS or similar
  • Strong judgment, risk & issues management, and problem analysis techniques
  • Ability to manage high pressure client situations and build trust with the clients
  • Ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous issues
  • Ability to present and communicate at a senior stakeholder level (internally & externally)
  • Ability to synthesize and communicate complex technical, product and business issues
  • Outstanding time management skills and attention to details
  • Candidates must be comfortable with up to 20% travel, both domestic and international

Desired

  • Ability to write SQL queries
  • Some script writing skills & knowledge of C# a plus
  • Formal qualifications project management qualification in PMP
