Desktop/Customer Support Engineer,
Our client with offices in Winston-Salem, NC and New Your City is looking to hire a Desktop/Customer Support Engineer with a solid familiarity of Citrix, Virtualization (VDI), and Windows for a 12 week contract (could go longer).
The contractor must be onsite each day in Winston Salem, NC and will need to be able to travel to NYC on occasion to support the rollout. The customer is rolling out Citrix virtual desktops to end users. This role involves moving the users from their desktop PC to a thin client connecting to a VDI desktop. The contractor will need to assist users with Onboarding to the desktop environment (this will be mainly L1 Desktop/End user support), resolving any issues, answering questions, etc.
Ideal candidates will be good communicators, patient and able to deal directly with end users representing IT.
Work arrangement 40 hours per week, 9 AM to 5 PM for 12 weeks. Travel required to NYC at clients expense.
