Application Developer

The person in this position assists in the development, delivery, and support of SS&C’s world class products in a dynamic development environment using web-based information systems and related reporting.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Development and maintenance of .NET-based applications designed to support the clients and operational staff in their daily processing needs
  • Development and support of custom web interfaces that provide easy access to mission critical information (ASP.Net, SQL Reporting Services, SQL Integration Services, SQL Server, SharePoint)
  • Development of custom web services, user controls, and webparts for easy deployment of functionality across sites
  • Development of the reporting solutions for our Investor Services and Fund Services businesses (.NET, SQL Server Reporting Services and Crystal Reports)
  • Assist in System Administration, security, and configuration
  •  

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:  

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
  • Two or more years of experience developing web-based applications
  • Strong working knowledge of ASP.net, C#, ADO.net.
  • Strong SQL skills including stored procedures, functions, views, triggers.
  • Experience in working with AJAX and XML.  Knowledge of the Telerik controls is a plus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Exposure to object oriented and n-tier architecture
  • Report writing skills (SSRS, Crystal Reports) is a plus.
